Chris Weitz Offered to Helm Next Two "Twilight" SequelsPosted: December 10th, 2008 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Having previously worked on such movies as "About a Boy," "American Pie" and "The Golden Compass," director Chris Weitz has now been offered a chance to helm the sequel to "Twilight." This news comes on the heels of the Summit Entertainment decision not to continue the franchise with director Catherine Hardwicke.
According to DeadlineHollywood, Weitz and Summit's president of production Eric Feig are longtime pals and Weitz is currently "still considering" the offer. That offer is to direct the next two installments, "New Moon" and possibly also "Eclipse," back-to-back.
In "New Moon," Edward leaves Bella, sending Bella into a depression and a friendship with a werewolf. In "Eclipse," that relationship triangle evolves, while evil empires begin to pursue Bella.

So, are the vampires gonna get caught masturbating in apple pies in the sequels or something?

Yeah- this guy will know how to command the amazing special effects that the audience expects now that the budget is high...lame choice- but good for him I guess.

Great news, now there won't be another one. It'll end just like The Golden Compass.
