Richard Kelly's "The Box" Delayed

Warner Bros Pictures has now announced that they will push back the upcoming Richard Kelly thriller "The Box" from next March to November 6th. Kelly is the director of "Donnie Darko" and "Southland Tales."

The delay is very surprising since "The Box" is Kelly's most mainstream movie and is based on a story which was already done by "The Twilight Zone." Also, the film has already been given a rating by the MPAA (Rated PG-13 for thematic elements, some violence and disturbing images) which means that Kelly is already done with the post-production phase. Production wrapped in February.

In the movie, a small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a troubled married couple, who open it and become instantly wealthy. Little do they realize that opening the box also kills someone they do not know.

This should be interesting but the release date was changed to November isn't new.

Someone should permanently 'delay' Richard Kelly. With a hatchet. After making a similarly hideous piece of sh*t like 'Southland Tales', any other director would get force fed into the on-site clothing press. Kelly should try a new tactic, like directing original films that make a lick of sense.
