As promised, the teaser trailer for the upcoming "Astro Boy" movie has now appeared online, featuring a quick introduction of the title character. Check it out by clicking on the link below.
Set in futuristic Metro City, "Astro Boy" is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist to replace the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving father's expectations, our hero embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the man who had rejected him.
"Astro Boy" is directed by David Bowers (Flushed Away) and is scheduled to hit theaters on October 23rd, 2009.

Hm...maybe, maybe not, but they're already getting pretty damn good at what they do, stylistically speaking. I was a fan of TMNT, I'll check this one out.
