"Jonah Hex" Directors Leave the Projects

"Jonah Hex" Directors Leave the ProjectsSubmit Comment
The saga of the "Jonah Hex" adaptation continues. First it was announced that "Crank" directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor would writer and helm the big screen film. Then actor Thomas Jane (Punisher) put together a photo of himself as the title character in a bid for the role. The directors came back stating that they had Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men) in mind and thus rejected Jane. Brolin later revealed in an interview that he is not sure that he would want his career in the hands of Neveldine and Taylor, even though the role interests him.

Fans stated that they would rather have the eager Jane as Jonah Hex, rather than Brolin, who is not sure of what he wants. Well, Warner Bros went in a different direction.

It is now reported that the two directors are now off the project, but Brolin is still in negotiations for a spring start. The reason for Neveldine's and Taylor's exist is attributed to "creative differences."

Do you think Warner Bros dropped the directors to keep Brolin onboard?

Yeah f*ck em- goodbye. If they just cast Jane they would have sped up production to a green light...but they sooked and moaned for Brolin and Brolin had no confidence in them as directors but said the story was damn interesting...SO yeah- they booted the lame slow asses to keep a great actor on board. 'Creative differences' my ass lol.

duh of course they did I say drop the directors (cuz they are awful) and still go with Jane, he is very underrated and obviously wants the role

I'm not really sure why this character needs a film but anything to keep Brolin off the screen a bit longer is fine by me. Talk about flavor of the month...
