Kiefer Sutherland on "24: The Movie" StatusPosted: November 17th, 2008 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Kiefer Sutherland has revealed that he's desperate to make "24" into a movie. The actor was speaking at a special event in Beverly Hills celebrating a two-hour special of the show which airs next week. Sutherland said he was definitely up for bringing the hit action show to the big screen. "I've been ready for years," he said.
But he added that making the show itself had made it hard to find time to make a movie. "I think from the writers' perspective it's so hard to get through a season and the second we end they start on the next one, but I certainly hope we will one day because I would love to tackle the idea of a 24 hour day represented in a two hour film," he said.
Sutherland wasn't the only interested in turning the show into a feature film. Executive producer and director Jon Cassar said he was not ruling it out as an option. "There's always talk," he explained. "But we probably have to wait until the television show is over and then deal with a feature film."
Are you looking forward to a "24" feature film?

Sure! "24" is a great action thriller that is just begging to be translated to the big screen. Its high tension/high stakes philosophy is tailor made for a pulse pounding blockbuster. And Kiefer Sutherlandīs Jack Bauer deserves his place in the pantheon of film spies.

If it's a 24 hour movie, and people camp out that sounds awesome.
