We just received some very interesting photos that I believe originated on the MarketSaw website. The photos are of film packages that apparently contain the teaser trailer for the upcoming James Cameron-directed "Avatar," which is set to hit theaters on December 19th, 2009.
Take a look at the shots below and notice a few things. The labels clearly state that the packages contain a teaser for "Avatar," but the length of each of these teasers is 3 minutes and 57 seconds. That's some teaser!
Let's say for a second that this isn't fake, why would 20th Century Fox and Cameron want to release almost 4 minutes of footage so early? Well, we know that "Avatar" will be in 3D and we also know that a 3D Entertainment Summit is coming to LA on December 1st and the 3DX Festival is coming to Singapore on November 19th.
Usually studios send a digital copy to theater owners in order to play their trailer before certain movies. In this case, 20th Century Fox is sending actual film, which is very odd. In my opinion, Cameron would probably want to premiere the teaser in front of movies that are also in 3D, like "Ice Age 3." But could we see an "Avatar" teaser in front of Fox's "The Day the Earth Stood Still" on December 12th? Stay tuned.

You guys are idiots if you don't know why he'd go for that length...He created technology specifically for this film- It's a good bet the teaser is also doubling as a promotional reel explaining the new technology...the same way Cameron did it for the Abyss...and T2....Fuck how do you guys get a job at worst previews? I need to strat my own website...
