Third "Narnia" Movie is Still Not Greenlit

Third "Narnia" Movie is Still Not GreenlitSubmit Comment
In a Walden Media press release announcing that the studio will transition their co-CEO/co-founder Cary Granat to a consulting position, the company also mentioned that the third installment in the "Chronicles of Narnia" franchise has not yet been greenlit. Here is a clip:

"Granat will be Walden's creative consultant on the third installment in 'The Chronicles of Narnia' franchise 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader'- which the company hopes to greenlight soon."

Even though there are a total of seven "Chronicles of Narnia" books, Disney would like to focus on their other franchises like "Prince of Persia," and thus will make "The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" the last installment in the series. If it ever gets greenlit.

The second one sucked, it barely made sense in some parts. Hope this one does the book justice.

Once again, the Narnia books are shortchanged. They already made the same exact books into films (BBC was responsible and they aren't bad at all) so I was really hoping for a "complete" set of movies. Shame, really--the first book, plot-wise, is the best but now we'll never see The Magician's Nephew. Such a pity.

The second movie was WAY better than the book

Even though I'm not a fan nor liked the movies thus far, I have to say that Disney did this series an injustice. Pretty weak indeed knowing that the series isn't just three books.

dammit, I love the books and the two movies, knowing there will never be a Magician's Nephew breaks my heart.
