Jeffrey Tambor Confirms "Arrested Development" MovieSubmit Comment
Collider attended a party for the Blu-ray release of "Hellboy II: The Golden Army," where they had the chance to speak to Jeffrey Tambor about the rumored "Arrested Development" film. Assuming that the project will never get off the ground, the site asked if Tambor was tired of being asked about the big screen adaptation of the not-so-popular show. To their surprise, Tambor had the following to say:

"Well no, cause we're doing it. We are going, it's a go," he said, adding: "I just actually, this week, talked to Mitch Hurwitz. So, we're doing it."

While there is still no script, Tambor feels pretty confident that the "Arrested Development" movie will happen soon. "When the writer calls you, the director and the executive producer call you. It's a pretty good sign," he said.

And when production actually begins, count Tambor in, cause he would love to return, if not only to give a proper good-bye to the much-loved series. "Yeah, that would be fun," he said about coming back. "We want to close that. We want to bring that all to fruition."

Are you looking forward to an "Arrested Development" movie?

LOVED the show. It was amazingly written. Now saying that, a movie is suspect for me because it worked as a tv show because of the restrictions and censorship. A movie would just kill that factor, one which was an important ingredient.

the office is falling off because of its love triangle soap opera garbage. This show was so distinctly, consistently funny and original. Each episode and season paid homage to a prior one while renewing itself over and over again. I still watch the Office, but Micheal is becoming too stupid to believe, Creed isn't featured enough and Angela is featured too much. Watch 30 Rock. That is a good show.
