Sylvester Stallone Confirms "Rambo 5"Posted: November 3rd, 2008 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
TMZ caught up with Sylvester Stallone and asked him if he is looking to bring back Rocky or Rambo for another installment. Apparently, Rocky is out of the question, but Rambo is a character that Stallone is not quite done with. "Rambo would kick Rocky's ass," he said. "How do you beat the terminator, all you do is make friends with him."
When asked if that means that he would consider "Rambo V," Stallone said: "Rambo hopefully will be back. We've just got to give you guys a story that's worthwhile."
Exactly a year ago, it was revealed that Stallone would make a fifth "Rambo" movie and would use an alternate script that he wrote for "Rambo 4," which involves Rambo's daughter being kidnapped by cult leaders.
Then two months ago, Lionsgate confirmed that the studio would continue the "Rambo" franchise, stating that "Rambo 5" is on their development list and will be written and directed by Sylvester Stallone.

Put him a Walking Tall type of plot. He's home- he needs to find a purpose in normal every day society. In First Blood he was coming home to a naive, careless world and couldn't fit in, so Rambo really needs to be put back in there again. I mean isn't anyone wondering why he keeps his ass in the jungle? It's getting old. Just as the Colonel keeps saying- "Until you go full circle..." full circle would see him home again- trying to cope in a normal world in rural town...There's endless possibilities with that story arc and this character.

Also keep in mind that Brian Dennehey is still alive and doing well...and his character from First Blood lived. That would certainly recapture some of the old magic if these guys were to run into each other again.

I agree with you on that one, i just dont see a 68 year old war veteren running thru the jungle, not that very realistic

The story is the key. It's not going to be believable if he's killing 500 white supremacists armed to the teeth, in my opinion.
