Jason Statham in "13 Tzameti" RemakeSubmit Comment
50 Cent, Mickey Rourke (Sin City) and Jason Statham (Crank) have signed on to star opposite Sam Riley (Control) in "13," director Gela Babluani's remake of his French-language film "13 Tzameti." Babluani penned the new English-language story.

The original 2005 film revolves around Sebastian, a young man, who has decided to follow instructions intended for someone else, without knowing where they will take him. When he reaches his destination, he falls into a degenerate, clandestine world of mental chaos behind closed doors in which men gamble on the lives of others men.

"13 Tzameti" was the winner of the 2006 Sundance Grand Jury Prize. The remake will start shooting on November 17th in and around New York City.

Oh No! Once again Hollywood has decided that all there great ideas just won't do, so they decided to remake a few more foreign films. It truly makes me sad that Statham keeps on getting work.

Nothing's wrong with Statham. Let him be the next Bruce Willis and lay the same role for 20 years before trying to branch out. He's good at what they cast him for- I havent seen him miscast yet...but this film is still a mistake. After watching both REC and Quarantine I have no idea why producers spend so much money trying to make an exact duplicate that still seems inferior...spend that 30 million budget on dubbing instead of an entire film and I'm sure it'll all turn out for the best. North America did release about 10 years worth of Jackie Chan- DUBBED- in WIDE release...films that had been released overseas years before opening wide...so WHY...WHY are we not dubbing, saving money, and making sure the better version of the film is experienced?

Just cause the man a bald and is a action atar does not mean he is the next Bruce Willis. Let's take a quick look at Statshams resume for this year alone, In the name of the king-terrible, Death Race- terrible and transporter 3- even worse. So don't act like he is the next Willis cause he's not

I think you missed Prevalent's point which had nothing to do with baldness..."and (p)lay the same role for 20 years before trying to branch out. He's good at what they cast him for" which I agree with for the most part. His movies are generally lower end and tend to be throw away but I enjoy them for what they are. maybe he'll eventually get that one role that's a perfect fit that will push him into bigger and better (and more diverse) films. And btw, I wouldn;t blame that Dungeon Siege disaster on Statham; two words: Uwe Bol

I'm sorry, but after reading the statement by I4u I am just going to have to go off on all of statham movies. Lock Stock-overrated,Snatch-actually ok,War-really bad,The One-really really bad,Revolver-just waisted my time. I am more then sure there are a few movies I did not name, and you know what they suck to. Statham is a one note actor with no real talent.
