David Fincher's Nike Commercial

Director David Fincher is known for such movies as "Fight Club" "Zodiac" and the upcoming "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." That's an impressive resume, maybe that's why Nike hired the man to helm one of their commercials.

Teaming up with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki (Children of Men), the commercial (entitled "Fate") follows the lives of the San Diego Chargers' running back LaDainian Tomlinson and the Pittsburgh Steelers' safety Troy Polamalu from their young age all the way till their collision in the NFL.

Do you think this commercial is any good, considering it is directed by Fincher?

I liked it, especially the end. They got up from the ground because Troy took him out. STEELERS! (Terrible Towel flapping)

Amazing video. Music is amazing. It shows two athletes' beginnings from childhood to adulthood. The concept is amazing.

Great ad. Even better music by the great Ennio Morricone.

All four (Fincher, Lubezki,Tomlinson, Polamalu) are gifted, period.

That was racist. The Commercial makes the claim that black people are raised from birth to do more than play sports and fiddle with their pencil in class. And Nike is there to take their money for overpriced sh*t shoes.
