"The Incredible Hulk" DVD is set to hit stores on October 21st, but FilmSchoolRejects were able to get the film early and went straight for the bonus material, which was rumored to contain a shot of Captain America.

Back in June, before the film hit theaters, director Louis Leterrier revealed that Captain America shows up in the film. "There's a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decides to kill himself," said Leterrier. "So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else considered to be too hard for young audiences to take, so we've cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America!"

He added: "The material will definitely be on the DVD."

In the alternate opening on the DVD, a scene shows Bruce Banner wandering around. Near the end, as an avalanche crashes down toward the camera, observant fans can spot Captain America frozen in the snow. His shield is clearly visible as it lays on top of him.

I tried to say in the last Cap thread that whoever said Matthew McConaughey should get this role was TOTALLY right, but it wouldn't let me post twice. Good call.

Maybe, N8R, but McConaughey said he wasn't. HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO CAPTAIN AMERICA WAS!! I don't think someone who has never heard of such a classic character should play it.

well, lots of people don't have the time to READ COMIC BOOKS (GASP) ;) or they just don't have much of an interest. Mcconaughey was probably too busy scrambling around in the texas wilderness making friends with bobcats and riding buffalo. He didn't have time to read comics. But he did have time for the hulk tv show. Anyway, silly legends aside, all i'm really saying is that although captain america is a CLASSIC character, he is not so much a popular character IN COMPARISON with hulk, spiderman, batman, fantastic four, etc. Yes, as a kid who preferred reading johnny tremain to comic books i saw a few pictures of some random dude with a shield and tight pants... but i didn't know his name, much less care. But hey... i would LOVE to see a cap america movie... and it would be AWESOME to see mateo in it.... or maybe aaron eckhart!

Why do I like Barry Pepper for that role?
