It DEFINITELY was not awesome. I was so hyped to see this film and it sorely disappointed. The CGI was not too great (the Matrix Reloaded was better CGI) and the acting in some parts was just God-awful. I really cannot believe what Raimi let happen to that movie. Lets hope #4 is much better and goes back to what the first one was like.
At least someone noticed! lol, yay! I am all happy.
But if I may say Sam Riami might be putting his career at risk doing a fourth installment of Spider-man. Because if he doesn't do well again, that could hurt him.
Spider-Man 3 was a very flawed movie that would have benefited from leaving at least 1 or 2 of it's storylines for a future movie. Because there was so much going on, most of it ended up being either half developed or not developed at all.
Being a die hard spiderman fan, i loved the movie, and as for the "cheese factor" scenes, come on its based on a comic for crying out loud, they can make it like that and get away with it, and as for three villains in one movie, they can pull that off too, because if you read into the comics, around the time spiderman actually acquires the symbiote suit (black suit) hes actually fighting sandman and the new green goblin, and venom. Only thing that made it a bit wrong for me was killing off Venom, because he survives in the comics and is in later episodes. Other than that i thourghly enjoyed the movie.
Personally I thought it wasn't a bad movie. I loved some of the fight scenes, especially the one between peter in harry not in their costumes. I can see how a lot of people don't like where they went with it but to me it was good and I'm looking forward to number 4 in 2011.
