I've been looking forward to this movie for about 6 months now, and I finally got a chance to see it. What a dissapointment! The first 45 minutes of the movie is just talk, plus Kevin Spacey acting goofy. Then there's Brandon Routh, who's incredibly stiff, and participates in tons of boring and uneccessary dialogue. When we finally see some action, it sucks you in, but then releases you to suffer through more of the silly plot.

I'm not sure how many minutes Superman was around without Kryptonite in or around him, or being Clark Kent. Basically, Superman was not so super for the majority of the movie.

My advice, is to still go see the movie, just for the cool effects, but get ready to be bored for over 2 hours.

OMG that movie is soooooooo boring... Not nearly enough super-action, only a few scenes. There are many scenes that are completely useless and just plain boring. The old Superman movies were stuffed with action-scenes, in this one there are about 3 or 4. And, yes, biggest let-down..

I could not agree any more. The whole first 1/2 hour was just boring yapping about nonsense. I was itching to see Superman, and all I got was a guy wearing a Superman outfit, with 1 cool action scene. If that movie was just that action scene, it would have been much better. I love a good plot, and don't mind sacraficing a little action for story, but there was no story as either.

Now look what happened, they are probably not going to make a second one.

I heard they were planning to take Nicholas Cage in the begining. That could have saved them from the curse I guess.

Has to be quite possibly the worst movie to date, hmmmm almost i can think of a few others, i can gladly say i didnt pay to watch this one, my friend lent it to me, wasnt a patch on the classic superman films, as much as he looked like chris reeves he just wasnt. Lets hope they leave it at that and dont make anymore.:(
