Where is John Carpenter?

Hey, anything new on John Carpenter? I personally would love to see a sequel to Big Trouble in Little China.

Heard that he's been working on a new Halloween move, but don't know if that's true. It would be great though, to see something new from one of the champions of horror.

Producer only from what I understand. I hope he is not doing another Halloween. I'd rather see something original or a sequel to Prince of Darkness, Big Trouble, or even a new Snake Plissken flick. Please not another Halloween. Please. I would love to see John take on zombies. How 'bout you guys?

It looks like he's working on a film titled "Psychopath," with a screenplay written by him and Todd Farmer ("Jason X"). It's about an ex-CIA operative who begins to question his own sanity after getting sucked in to capture a serial killer. Sorry, doesn' look like there are any zombies.

I think he's associated with the new Halloween by name only, really. Rob Zombie is working on that one and it will be a brand new start to the series, I believe.
