I watched this over the weekend (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0416449/), would have been nice to see in digital place down the road, but I got a busy life, and renting a movie for a buck is good. The fight scenes I enjoyed, however I am more of a critic when not everything I want answered is done by the end of the movie. I loved the fights and the edit jobs were great, but the end of the movie I was not impressed with.

I loved this movie. Granted I would have liked to have seen a better ending.

I saw this in the theater, and yesterday on HBO.
It twists the historical facts badly to accomodate the fantasy genre.
The 7 old men in the beginning the king meets with almost made me puke. (I forget what their group name was), but they were priests of a type who consulted the "Oracle".
It would have been better to have made "300" authentic according to history (which is basically was), but without the weird costumes. After all, the Persian king Xerxes was not a 7' tall giant, and did not invade mainland Greece on a platform/throne like that.
If anyone ever saw the 1962-63 movie "300 Spartans", that was much closer to the truth.

You are aware that this movie was based off the Frank Miller graphic novel, and not history right?
