Unknown Movie????!!!???

I went to the Denver premier of Transformers last night, and there was a preview of a doomsday movie opening 01/18/2008. The movie really caught my attention, but there was no title displayed, just the release date. In the trailer it you hear a loud roar and you see a large explosion in NYC followed by the head of the Statue of Liberty landing violently in the middle of the street. The trailer has a grainy quality, like it was taken with a home video camera. I would love to know what the movie is, and see the trailer again. It looks pretty incredible.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I think it said that it is produced by J.J. Abrams. There is no information on this project though.

Its a great marketing ploy, I havent been able to get the preview out of my head. Its a little bit of relief to finally know what to keep an eye on. The trailer was very impressive, although watching a whole movie from a video camera perspective could be kind of like watching the Blair Witch Project lol
