Everyone is telling me that the Simpsons have lost their touch. I disagree. Maybe it's the familiar characters that drive me to the show all the time, but I love it. South Park and Family guy are great also, and probably better than the Simpsons, but it would be a harsh world without 1/2 hour of daily Simpsons in my life.:)

I agree. Imagine how hard it is to still be fresh after all these years. South Park, on the other hand has really lost their touch this season. Every episode seems to be one big "in" joke after another. And, I must not be "in" 'cause they are just boring now. Especially, the 2 part Family Guy episodes. Were they supporting or hating on Family Guy and the Simpsons?

Actually I think South Park are the only ones that say and do that nobody else would. They picked a side, obviously right wing, but still remain funny, and most importantly very quotable.

What channel is the funny South Park on? Are you sure your not watching reruns on a local channel? 'Cause the South Park on Comedy Central Wednesday nights sure do suck lately. I'm even contemplating not watching a new episode in favor sleep. I haven't missed a new episode since the start. Damn that sucks.

All the cartoons you guys are talking about suck. Family Guy is too obvious. South Park is always a controversy and the simpsons are no longer recognizable too me - the characters have become too exhaggerated.

I can watch all three and love it. When South Park had them all together in their Mohammed episode, I felt like I died and went to heaven with 70 virgins. I can also get into King of the Hill, since these are the only shows that could be non-PC. They have a message and are not afraid to cross the line, so I'm in.

South Park has a message - everything's a joke. As a result they have no message, they just mock everything. Now King of the Hill I can watch.

You just wait till South Park makes fun of King of the Hill on Family Guy with The Simpsons Characters. That will show you.

Wasn't that the episode two weeks ago?

Well, The Simpsons have always been great, but during the last few seasons they really lost their edge. The show has become extremly arrogant. They just think that they can get paople to laugh at anything as long as it is on the Simpsons. Then homer says something like "I don't like Flanders" and then they think they don't have to make the rest of the episode funny. They should have made the movie 5 years ago or something. then it would have been funny.

I keep hearing that they hire Harvard graduates to write the Simpsons episodes, like that means something. You can't learn to be creative. The one exception is Conan O'Brian, being a Harvard graduate, and being damn funny. He wrote for the Simpsons and SNL. I can watch the Simpsons but bimmer4583 is ablsolutely right, they do have Bart say "Eat my shorts" and expect big laughs.

I can only watch "Family Guy" in small doses, but the other two are fine. Unfortunately, South Park is on at some ungodly hour, if it's on my cable channels at all any more, and I don't get to see it. I suppose I could find out and tape the darn thing. My kids have now seen more episodes than I have.

There was an episode of the Simpsons recently that made me laugh out loud at the commentary made in it. It's holding up well, considering how many years it's been on.

I don't understand why they are making a Simpsons movie now, in 2007??? They're hayday was obviously in the 90's. You can only do so much with a show, after 400 episodes, what is really left to make a movie with?

I agree this movie is being released way too late. When I think of the simpsons I start remembering my days in school that I tried so hard to forget! I haven't watched an episode in years and will probably not bother seeing the movie once it hits cable.
