What did you guys think of this movie who have also read the novel by Anne Rice? Did you think the movie lived up to the novel?

I didn't think this movie was nearly as good as the book by Anne Rice. It would have been impossible I think to do the book justice under any circumstances in my opinion. Tom Cruise was certainly not who I would have chosen as Lestat.

By the way, I heard Anne Rice is now a Christian. Anyone else find this surprising?

I couldn't get into this movie for the sole fact it had Tom Cruise in it. He is a horrible actor and really should not be in movies. When he was younger he could get away with not really acting because he was good looking but now its just not cute anymore.
