I haven't seen many independent films but I caught this one late night on a movie channel. It's an independent film by Miramax featuring Agnes Bruckner and David Straithairn. The premise of the movie is about a teen girl from a broken home who turns to her English teacher for guidance. The teen discovers her talent for poetry but also learns less appropriate lessons from her teacher.
