Phat Girls

I came across this movie on cable the other night, I read the description and was expecting a comedy along the lines of the "barbershop". There were some funny parts in the film but, I found this film to have a very serious undertone to the story-larger women feeling inadequate compared to thin women. This movie made me see things from a different viewpoint, however being a "curvy" woman myself who is working on getting into better shape, I found it a little hard to watch. I agree that women need to accept themselves for who they are and love themselves but sometimes people need to loose weight for real reasons and not just to compete with thin women.
