This is one of my fave films of all times. The acting is outstanding across the board and the story line is intriguing. My sis really opposes the death penalty and she recommended the movie for the scene in which a death by electrocution went terribly wrong. I could barely watch this particular scene.

Being a huge King fan I found myself wonderfully surprised how fantastic this movie was and how it truly executed the adaptation from the book. Most of King's works loose so much when they are made into films mostly due to the fact the things King writes about just cannot be put on film, and the sad result is a great book that is overshadowed by a horrible film version. Tom Hanks was the only person who could have played this role....the entire film was just as the book was and I was ecstatic. This film was truly brought to life and the story took you on the very same emotional journey the book did.
A must see for any King fan or movie lover.

I agree with both of you. This movie was outstanding, and I thought it was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better adaptation. The acting was great, and the movie was very emotion-provoking.
