This is an old movie but its a thrilling frontier adventure that britsles with intense action and towering performances. Clint Eastwood is great in this movie. Really heroic...

The point is not what happens in the movie but how it happens, a curious blend of partly humorous, partly dramatic, partly elegiac legend.

That description pretty much sums up most of Eastwoods movies doesn't it. I think that most movies he is in including this one are a little dry anyway. This is only my opinion...so how much it really accounts for is way beyond me.
