This seems like a good one. Here's how it goes....

Billie Offer (Drew Barrymore) is a young singer from Bakersfield with more heart than talent. Huck Cheever (Eric Bana) is a poker player whose emotions at the table often undermine his exceptional skill, especially when he is heads up with his father, poker legend L.C. Cheever (Robert Duvall). The one aptitude Billie and Huck seem to share is a knack for reading people--the difference is what they do with that gift.

I like Drew Barrymores acting style. I am planning on going to see this movie and think that it would be a good movie. I am not a big watcher of gambling but hope that the movie will meet my expectations.

This looks like a movie I will be waiting till it hits cable to see....although it does look better than Drew's last attempt with Hugh Grant....that looked like a true train wreck....has anyone seen that film?

I've seen previews for this film several times and am slightly curious but not curious enough to go out to the theater to see it. My ex made an intersting poini about Drew's acting style - he said she cries in every single movie she's in though I don't know if she cried in the Charlies Angel remake film because I didn't see that one. I didn't see the Hugh Grant and Barrymore film - and really don't plan to.
