Cinemas? Worth the price?

When you go to the cinema, what do you think of the prices? I think that cinemas are making it more and more likely for people to buy pirated DVDs for a fraction of the price, but I love the cinema experience thats why I go.

Yeah.. all that excitement and the experience of watching the movie on big screen makes it all worth it.

I always like to see movies on the big screen rather than DVDs. The excitement that we get while we are watching a movie on a big screen is different. So I never care for the prices.

ok, now I do think its a total waste of money...now granted I dont buy anything pirated but I do love movies....however I love watching them at home on my 50'' HDTV. I guess in my mind I would rather be able to truly relax and enjoy the movie in my own home without having to deal with driving, prices or noisy people. Perhaps I'm just cheap! LOL...I wont even rent movies at a rental chain. I get them at those automated rental stations you find in most grocery stores now...you get 1 movie for 1 buck a night!

It's WAAAAY to expensive! I go on Tuesdays and Saturdays, when tickets are 1/2 price. I mean does it really cost them that much to play a movie? And they really gouge you with the outrageous concession prices. I'm sure they could charge half and still pull in healthy profits.
