Flash Gordon has to be my favorite cheese fest. The sets are awesome. The costumes are awesomely obnoxious. The Queen soundtrack still rules. Also, Big Trouble in Little China. Gotta be next in line. The hammy acting and cheese comedy is still great on my 100th viewing. I will never get tired of watching either of those 2 highly underrated flicks. I still watch BTiLC every time it's on. Flash Gordon really deserves a Spec. Ed. DVD. Foreign prints sell for big $ on ebay.

I can watch Flash Gordon non-stop. The music, the action, the corny dialog, it's the best. I don't see it too much on TV anymore, I would hate to go rent it and find out that there is non-stop cursing and nudity, like when I rented, The Man with Two Brains.

I've seen Flash Gordon a number of times, and I don't remember any nudity or cursing. It was too corny, the nudity and cursing would have been totally out of place!

It amazed me that they had someone like Timothy Dalton in that movie. I thought he was a Shakepearean actor, wasn't that a step down for him? But, I guess there aren't too many casting calls for people that perform Shakespeare. ;)

I do have to agree that Flash Gordon was pretty cheesy. it is always sad when the soundtrack is better than the movie itself. I wanted my son to watch it and he would not even stay in the room, he thought it was so ridiculous.

I remember this movie from when I was a kid. It's been years since I've seen it. I liked it when I was really young but I'm sure my viewpoint would change if I saw it again now.

I too adore this movie and for years it was one of my late night cant sleep treats that I watched when the kiddies where in bed. I love movies that you can watch over and over again. Loved the outfits and my fav character was played by Brian Blessed (also a Shakespearian actor--but dont forget that Shakespeare was for the masses and not for a few snobby people in their best clothes...going off to the Theatre.) I cant fault this movie which also had Richard O'Brien who created the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Enough said:) Furdion
