Ever been to a premiere?

I would love to go to a movie premiere, to walk down the red carpet, and actually rub shoulders with the stars. It's unlikely it'll ever happen, though. Has anyone ever been to one?

I live in the Midwest so the odds of me getting to a premiere are pretty slim. I don't think it would be all that much fun though ... I think the crowds would be a bit irritating and I doubt that many get a chance to get too close to the stars because of security. Kind of fun to dream about though. It would be nice to get really dressed up in a gorgeous gown and as you said, get to walk the red carpet.

Nope, I've never been to one, either. It seems a few years ago they had one in a city not too far from where I live, because the movie was made mostly near here, but I don't think we even ventured out of the house on premiere night.

No, but I've been to sneak preview when a friend of mine won tickets from a radio station. That was fun.

There's supposed to be a sneak preview of Spiderman 3 at midnight on Thursday. I'd love to go see it, but my sweetie has to get to work early the next morning. I don't think not getting sleep because of Spiderman would count as a valid excuse. LOL

Nah.. Ithink they are ordinary people just like you and me. The only thing is that they are a bit famous because they are actors. No big deal.. Just watch the movie and forget..

I've been to the premieres for Seabiscuit and Spiderman-3. As a "regular person", you don't actually walk down the red carpet with the stars. You go in through a back entrance while they talk to the media out front.

The closest I have ever been to a premiere, was one of the very first showings in Phoenix AZ of the movie "School of Rock" with Jack Black. Sadly, we got there abit late, so the only seats left were front row. I watched the entire movie with a stiff neck. :) I am sure a regular premiere would have better seating choices. :D
