I thought that the Drive-In Theater had gone the way of the Dodo bird, but there are still a few around. There's actually one about 15 miles from my house. I really need to take my kids for a good double feature this summer, and let them experience a Drive-In like Mama and Daddy did when they were kids. ;)
So, are there any Drive-Ins around where you live?

No, unfortunately. They're all gone. It's too bad, because they were a fun way to take the family to the movies. I remember my mum taking us when I was young.
Yeah.. good things never last for long. They have a short life. What a pity.

Surely there must be some in other areas besides the little community I live in! They can't ALL be gone. Tell me it isn't so!

There might be some somewhere, but nowhere near here. I'd go with my sweetie and neck in the car. LOL.

I never thought about that aspect, Granny! It's been so long since I've actually been TO a drive-in, I forgot you don't always have to go to SEE the movie.

We have a drive-in in a small little community nearby. It's a bit of a drive but it's so much fun in the summertime! And you really get a lot for your money considering you get to see two movies instead of one. It's a great spot for a date if you really like the person you're going out with. I remember I went once with a guy I wasn't crazy about and it wasn't fun when he started making the moves :(

I guess that's when you grab him by the collar and tell him to back off! I've only been to a drive-in with one person - my ex fiance. In fact, I think the last thing we saw was the Empire Strikes Back or something like that. (Man, did I just tell my age?!)

It would be fun to go again. I don't think there's even one left in the province, and the last time I went to one was probably about 20 years ago. My youngest has never been to one. She's really missed out on something special!

Interesting, I have only seen those on the Simpsons, as we don't have any of those here in Britain, well at least in London, UK. Sounds like a really good experience though, but don't the other cars cover up the screen?
Yeah but it would be fun specially if have a beautiful girlfriend to accompany you there? Right?

I have just one drive in a few miles away from my house. I had been there with my dad some 4 years ago.

There is a drive-in near where I live. We've been there once or twice and it's really nice. The only bad thing is that there are alot of bugs that won't leave you alone, and they show the movies really late so you are tired and don't enjoy the movie as much.

The drive-in is one of the greatest parts of summer! It ranks right up there with being able to swim outdoors at the lake or in pools.

I haven't been to a drive in since i was 6. And what I do remember is was not that fantastic of an experience. First it's really hard to get comfy in your car, I mean really comfy enough to sit for two hours. Second you have to walk for forever just to get your snacks and munchies. I always thought the sound quality was poor at the drive ins too. All I can say is if I'm going to spend over 10.00 for a movie, I want a nice cushy seat and something inside :D

I really miss those. The last one I went to was when Batman and Robin came out(not that good of a movie btw.) I wish they were still around. Most of the ones that used to be around me closed down cause they lost too much money buying new speakers cause people kept stealing them..
