American Idol - I'm Over It

I am honestly so sick of the hype associated with this show I could scream! When is America going to grow tired of this whole talent show obsession? The opening of this season really sickened me when Simon hearlessly dashed the dreams of two young men who really thought they had a shot at making it on the show. Constructive criticism is one thing - cruelty is another. I think there should have been more backlash than there was for Simon's awful behavior towards these hopeful contestants.

I have a hard time with this show when there's no one on that I care to see win. I don't mind Simon at all because if the contestants really want a shot at the real world of entertainment, they're going to come up with much harsher than that from the tabloids and people in general. They've got to learn not to take it to heart, but at the same time, what he says is often bang on.

I've never watched a whole episode of American Idol. All the tryouts are embarrassing, for the most part. It's just never appealed to me. I do know some people, however, that wouldn't miss it for the world.

You may be over it, but I could never get into it. I truly think this could perhaps be the worst show ever. If I wanted to see people who think they can !sing perform I would go to karioke bars! And seriously what do the judges really know about music, c'mon its Paula Abdul for goodness sake, her career went down in a horrible twisted pile of metal. If they are going to continue this horrible show they should at least get real record producers to judge or someone else in the industry along those lines. Also i think they should really see some talent, like have them play instraments etc, sing their own songs and not do awful covers of someone elses talent.

I really like the show this season. Normally it gets boring but this season it has kept my interest.

It has become really boring now. With so many el-cheapo spin offs made of this show all around the world and taken off scene long time ago, I really think that this show has out lived its lifecycle and should be called off!!
