This supernatural action/thriller can't decide whether it wants to go for laughs or chills, and some of the supposedly chilling moments are the silliest and most laughable ones.
i now repent for watching it:D

Ghost Rider would have been most fun had it been made for a dime by a Roger Corman-type outfit as a quickie Gothic adventure spinning Zane Grey, Faust and Evel Knievel.

My family wanted to see that when it came out, but for some reason we decided not to. I'm sure we'll rent it, eventually. I like Nicolas Cage, but I'm not sure about this one.
I have seen the movie and was quite impressed however the movie could have been a lot better. Nicholas is too serious an actor for such roles.

We were going to get to the theater to see this one, but decided against it for some reason, I don't remember what it was, though.
Was it something that would be appropriate for children under 12?

It's easy to imagine why Cage would want to write a couple of his own lines. After all, you'd tell Dr. Kevorkian you could take your own temperature, right?

The previews were much better than the over movie. I did like the part where he and the bike were atop that arch and then he went into the water. That was pretty cool but was a little disappointed in the overall movie. Would not watch it again.

well i believe it was better than some of the other marvel movies but it does have a few flaws such as there being two ghost riders at one section in time

While I am a Cage fan, I have seen better. I am happy to say this movie was rented for a buck, and I don't think I would ever watch it again. The script 1/2 the time made me wonder to laugh or just turn it off. The plot was fine, but alot was missing in this movie. :(

The producers, director and entire cast obviously never bothered to crack open a single Ghost Rider comic. Or it could just be that I missed the issue where Ghost Rider becomes a slightly maladjusted, positive, and loveable kind of guy. The only issues I ever saw of Ghost Rider were the ones where he is tormented daily as him and the demon Zarathos battled for control of Johnny Blaze's soul.
I guess its too much to ask for Hollywood to stick to lore. Apparently even though the source material for the movie was a highly succesful comic spanning 30+ years of publication and earning millions, it seems Hollywood really knows what's best. Who cares about 30 years of a highly popular character, that OBVIOUSLY wouldn't make a good movie. The character must be remade, and the story changed!
True Story: Hollywood is systematically assasinating every single comic book character. Why do you think they killed off Captain America a few months ago? If faced with the choice of killing off a character I have poured decades of my heart and soul into, or letting Hollywood take big steamy dumps all over him, I would personally scour the world and destroy every shred of his existence.
On another note, Punisher wasn't really that bad.

This movie made me vomit. Nicholas Cage really needs to give his head a shake and start picking and choosing the movies he stars in or it is seriously going to effect his career and his high status in hollywood. You can go around making movies like "the wicker man" and "ghost rider" and expect people to give you any respect
