Aside from the offensive material, The Departed fires on all cylinders as one of the best crime dramas ever made - smart, suspenseful, and technically well made.
Leo is really good at act.

Thats true.. even Matt was best on his part. The Departed is murderous fun, but it’s too shallow to be the kind of movie that haunts your sleep.

It is an intoxicating film. It's a film that'll have your hands over your face with one eye peeking... The violence sickens, but the movie seduces.

the departed was kind of a side step for scosese,a bit of the same done differently & all the better for it.the departed is a really great film with career topping direction matched with great performances from all the actors.the timing & rythm of the film are spot on,holding you like a prisoner till the very last scene.

It has created quite a scene in India where the average demand for diamonds has gone down significantly. Poor people.

I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but I really couldn't believe the violence that was included in this film. I really wanted to see it because of the big name actors included in the cast but I found the film to be a let down though I guess my opinion is in the minority.

Thats true.. it could be watched only because good actors are starring. Leo always performes choosy characters.
