Once upon a time in Nazi occupied France...
Do you think that this will be a great Tarantino film, or it will be very well hyped up and then ultimately suck?

Tarantino loves what he does. I've faith in him.
As I understand it, Jackie Brown bombed, but that was easily as good as Pulp Fiction.
But hell, I thought Death Proof was pretty great too.

It just sounds like a crappy story. Hollywood's leading execs thought: We need ANOTHER wwII movie, so let's glorify Jews this time by having them go Rambo on Nazis.
JUst sounds lame to me. Especially with Brad "I haven't acted in a good movie since the 1990's" Pitt and you've got a hype machine I have zero interest in seeing.

i think it will probably be a huge hit whether its good or not. everyone likes an action movie and im sure this will have tons of it.

it looks overly hyped, but i've been surprise before. I guess it all comes down to what you expect of the movie Vs. what you get.

Not enough Brad Pitt is where I am at with this one. When Pitt is onscreen, he is upstaging everyone so hard he is hard not to watch.
Tarantino is too in love with his dialogue and sets now. I read somewhere recently that this film cost 80 million to make. Yes, the sets are gorgeous, but really...this thing is overkill.
Having John Dykstra from special effects was pretty hardcore move on his part.
When the script was released forever ago, it was apparent that this film was going to be heavy on the talk...and that is what it is. Lots of fun things are done, but the absolute re-writing of history just to make Eli Roth look like he might be cool was a little much.
People have been saying that Tarantino came at this one really original, versus how he has come at his other films (biting every other style in sight). That might be true, but I can't be sure. I suppose i would have to spend a weekend watching a bunch of old John Wayne films to comprehend how unoriginal this war film is.
Christoph Waltz is the man though. I hope he really gets some serious Hollywood work as a result of this one.

Though it is over-hyped,the film is excellent with great work from whole cast.

the film had a great depth of ideas and I also enjoyed tarantino creation of hitlers death in his eyes.Hitler is introduced in a cape like a comic-book villain, so moral relativism clearly isn't part of the plan. With its intentionally brash rewriting of history,
