Even though I liked the 1990 version a lot, I think it would be interesting to see a Dick Tracy reboot, anyone else think this could be a good idea?

I would like to see a reboot. I loved the original and think it would be cool to see a new one. But who would play Tracy?

Hi'all,

I don't get too popular with this but although Beaty was a good actor for Tracy - I disliked the experience as a whole (90s movie). The sets looked like a preview of what the Teletubies' planet must look like.

I hope that if (or when) they bring in another Dick (:p ) they'll make it very noir as it was Chester Gould's original concept (from memory - the author?). Tracy was an uncompromising special agent cop that would do anything to get the job done. If you ever read the dailies, if Tracy fell in love, it would mean betrayal. If Tracy made a real friend he/she would end up in the river. The general idea imo is that Tracy was given multiple layers to allow him (us) to go down and down into society's grim reality.
