I checked out V for Vendetta at http://www.worstpreviews.com/review.php?id=11 and I think that...It's excellent. I saw the entire film last night and it's far better than Batman Beginning or any of the other offerings this year. The message is a good one. Great acting. Very pacey and intelligent.

I felt that the entire movie was actually average. Here is why.
1) The government was not so bad. V kept talking about how terrible it was, but they really were not doing anything that horrible, outside of what happened to V many years ago.
2) The torture scene of Portman, that was just ridiculous, and very disappointing.
3) At the end, when V was in the big fight... why did he go in without protection?

What was the point of the movie, that it is ok to be a terrorist, as long as you have a good reason?

I couldn't make it all the way through this one. I found it quite boring and was hoping for something so much more. Still haven't seen how it ends. I bought this movie for $6 used with the thought that it can't be that bad. Boy, was I wrong. I do intend to watch the rest someday but for now I can't bring myself to do it.

This movie is Gripping, intelligent and innovative. V for Vendetta wants to be a thoughtful political allegory, a chaste love story and a high-powered thriller all at the same time. Its pretty good I can say...

For anyone looking for something totally different in this most overworked of Hollywood genres, this is it.

I thought this movie was ok, but possibly not as good as it could have been. I didn't think that "V's" message was not expressed enough in a way that could have tied the entire movie together more. Also I felt that since most Americans do not know UK holidays such as November the 5th and its purpose the movie doesn't make as much sense as to why the whole plot revolves around this date. I'm sure the original book written was much better than this film version.
