I know!!! I'm so excited about it! If they succeed, this will bring Warner Bros. up to a whole new level on filmmaking. Granted, Fox fucked with them and getting a small percentage of their gross which is gonna be huge in itself.
This movie..it's gonna be about what? 3 1/2 hours. This is like the next generation of film that's going to teach filmmakers to take their time in developing a story.
My only issue with this, is that all the hype built around it, let's hope it'll live up to it. Otherwise this will be a huge flop.

i know.... This might be the BIGGEST comic adaptation in movie history. I know TDK was great and everything, but if Zasck Snyder nailed this, then I think Watchmen will take over first place. the ending is still controversial with me, but I'm so hyped for it that it doesn't matter anymore.

Well, let's remember in Zack's interview. He only changed the things that didn't matter and that didn't make sense. Zack's a smart guy, he knows what he's doing to a large extent. So let's put our faith in his hands for now, until we all see it. Then we can critictize his work to a perspective.
Btw, long time no see Guitar_Dudester91. I miss my movie talks. It's important to me, got a messenger? Send me an e-mail on here and I'll give you mine.

Right.... I think he mostly did it for the sake of making it more believable for non-comic fans. See i would rather see the squid thing, but since some people have never read Watchmen, I can see why he did that.
No, sorry I don't have messenger, but I still frequent the site. I just ran out of topics or lost interest a little, we seem to be the only die-hard members on this forum lol. So sorry about being gone, I'll try to stay back on.

I'll admit I never read the comic, I should, shouldn't I? Is it easy to get into or...?
Yeah I can see that we're the only die hard fans here, nobody here makes a great arguement or a great explaination about certain things except between three people, you, bugmenot (who I havne't seen in awhile.) and myself.
Why don't you help me with that one online production topic? Help me get it rolling. It should be cool once we do.

WHAT?!??!?!? YOU"VE NEVER READ IT?!?!?!?!? Oh man, you absolutely need to. Not to be an asshole or anything, but to be a true fan, you have to have the story MEMORIZED in order to be excited for the movie. LOL.
Ya about that production thing, it really sounds like a cool idea. But I don't have a lot of time to do something as big as that. I don't know.

Yeah I know, I want to. Don't get me wrong, just don't have the time or place to go to. I just might walk to Border's one day and sit down to commit to read that Graphic Novel.
Well at least pop in every once in awhile on that topic and see what you can contribute & what not. If not, then cool deal.
Here's a topic starter, we need to keep this forum going since it seems like no one else wants to commit to talking about films here. Go to a bookstore, look through a bunch of comic and graphic novel and let's start a topic about that to keep an interest going.
Might as well start a buzz somewhere on the net eh?

So I've already found one fault in the movie clips posted online. Dreidburg never visits Veidt. I searched for those panels, but I couldn't find it. So correct me if I'm wrong, but if they make more mistakes like this, this movie won't be so great.

Well don't jump into conclusions too much. We got a 3 1/2 hour movie to work with. Whatever Zack Snyder did to it is probably for a good reason. So who knows until we see it.

The Watchmen Motion Comic is, i think, the best of both world's. Take the time and download episodes 1-12. you get to watch the graphic novel without any material taken out. make sure you have about 6hrs. of free time.

6 Hours? Lol, that's alot. Holy shit, no wonder the movie's gonna be so long.

Seen the movie and it is amazing it is at the ranks of the dark knight maybe higher. the movie has a lot of plots in it like spiderman 3 except unlike spiderman 3 it actually was good at handling the stories and telling everybody's orgins it is very true to the graphic novel which is the most important thing. I like that this movie does NOT leave it off for a sequel it is just a one movie deal. watch the watchmen you won't regret it. :)

The Joker, try reading our other Watchmen thread made by "I Am Anti-Christ" You won't believe your eyes from some of the people that wrote things. lol It's sad actually be arguing about it with others about certain things.

Mr. Director, I completely agree. I think it is a disgrace that such an unintelligent paramicium was ever allowed to touch a computer. Anti-Christ was one of those people that get you started, believe me. Anyways, I was very impressed with Watchmen, and I really cannot wait for this fall when the whole shebang is released. It will be great!

At least we know we're not the only intelligent people here. I am wondering why a lot of the people don't come to the forum area. It's a great area.
Oh yeah! I can't wait for the Watchmen to come out on DVD & Blu-Ray! I'd like to see all the special features and additional footage. Three & half hours baby!
I was impressed with Watchmen too, in fact watched it twice! ^_^

it was a huge letdown. Synder takes himself way too seriously

I read the comic like a year ago.

Well why didn't you like it? It was very true to the comic. I mean it was almost acomplete adaptation, and it was as much as it could ever be.

I thought it was great as well. Very true, and thought it was a rare movie to be made. You don't get movies like that anymore.
You should pop over to the other thread that we had talked in, I think you'll find some more deeper insights on the film over there.
I also thought it was very true to the comics, I don't see how Zack Synder could've done a better job, he got away with a lot. If it was distributed by any other studio, that movie would've been fucked up the ass several times over and probably had been under 2 hours.
Explain more on why you didn't like it? Why was it a let down to you? We won't judge, honestly. Normal debate I guess.
