Looks like Mike Newell will direct the PoP movie with Michael Bay officially out. You's guys heard this? Any news you can fill on the Bruckheimer produced film? Is Bruckster still in? Script writer? Cast? This one could be good. We haven't had a live-action Arabian Nights like story in a long time. Aladdin was cool(but animated)and made $. Could be Pirates/Carribean in sand. I always liked the Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck Arabian Nights stuff. This could be an untouched gold mine.

"Prince of Persia" is a post-strike project and is currently set to hit theaters on July 10th, 2009. At this point an offer for Mike Newell to direct has been made by Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer. There is currently a script for the film written by "Jeffrey Nachmanoff (The Day After Tomorrow) and video game creator Jordan Mechner. Casting will not start until the strike is over and the project can move forward.
