I read today that Besson is going to make "Minimoys" his 10th and last film. He is going to concentrate on "civic" duties. Such as working w/ kids. My question is, WTF? Is there any way we can stop him? At least until he makes the sequel to the Fifth Element. "Mr. Black". The much ballyhooed script about the evil that threatened the heroes of the first film. Please help.

I read about this also, and it hurts. The guy was great. "The Professional" is easily top 10 movies, partly cause of him, partly the great acting. I also read that he has a writing credit for "District B13," I'm itching to see that movie. Has anyone seen it yet?

Besson announced that he would make only 10 films back in the mid-nineties and every time he has been asked about whether he would actually keep that promise he has been very decisive in his answer that he would. Now that he has made 10, he has not wavered a bit. It seems to me like he has had enough and I don't think anything can be done to stop him. Personally, I'm glad he's going to concentrate on civic duties and find a way to give back to the community.
