What movie would you like to see a sequel done? or a prequel? or remade? and why?
I would like to see something done with a few John Carpenter flicks. All done well. No teenager remakes ala "Fog". Or, under promoted and rewritten(Assault on Precinct 13).
"They Live" would be my first choice for a prequel and sequel. That whole movie I just wondered how and why the aliens did what they did. Then, how did the earthlings eradicate the problem afterwords. No need to recast seeing as how everyone dies. Keep it set in the time period established. 80's for prequel. 90's for sequel.
Next would be a remake "Prince of Darkness". Could be some scary "shite". Zombies, drippy "Grudge/Ring/Japano" mirror effects, Satan, and bad mustaches. Sounds like gold.
But most importantly, a true sequel to "Big Trouble In Little China". The movie was really about growing old and finding someone you love. Sounds like a "Notebook" audience to me. Carpenter would have to direct and Russell would have to star along with most of the other cast returning. The "Kung Fu Hustle"
style hasn't been americanized and stolen yet. This would be the perfect start.
So, what are some of your choices?:o
